Leading electric vehicle player Lohia Auto Industries will start free e-rickshaw service exclusively for women and girls in the city during odd-even days in the national Capital from Monday. The service is aimed at encouraging women to leave their cars at home, use public transport. The service will be available at most crowded metro stations like Rithala, Rohini east, Rohini west and Pitampura with the hoardings of “Lohia E-Rickshaw Free Rides for Women”. “E-Rikshaw service will provide last mile connectivity to women and girls for free. The step has been taken because a large number of women use public transport for going to work, educational institutions and other places from Rithala, Rohini and Pitampura,” said a spokesperson of the company.
