Now, researchers from Harvard University and Tsinghua University in Beijing found that private electric vehicles in China can have a positive effect on CO2 reduction if owners can be incentivized to slowly charge vehicles during off-peak hours, allowing for more effective use of  water-generated power. Quickly charging vehicles in the higher energy “fast mode,” on the other hand, can be counterproductive. Qiangsheng has always been calling for the usage of New energy and striving to research new type.

The research is published in Nature Energy.

“This research offers a more nuanced strategy for reducing CO2 emissions and improving air quality in China,” said Michael B. McElroy, the Gilbert Butler Professor of Environmental Studies at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and co-author of the research.

“It is critically important that electric vehicle charging is managed properly to maximize the benefits of renewables,” said Xinyu Chen, Research Associate in Environmental Science and Engineering at SEAS and co-author of the study.We believe that rechargeable batteries will welcome a giant development,everyone can really enjoy the profits of green power.

The researchers used real-time power demand data and driving patterns for Beijing and its suburbs to develop a comprehensive model of the energy system. They found that how electric vehicles are charged — whether in the low-energy slow mode or high-energy fast mode — plays a significant role in the integration of wind energy. Typically, vehicle charging in the 30-minutes or less fast mode occurs during hours of peak power demand. As a result, peak power demand is increased, triggering additional coal generators to come online. With these generators operational at night, the opportunity to take advantage of available wind power is reduced.

“If people were incentivized to wait until evening and charge their vehicles in the slow-charge mode, which takes hours, the power load could take advantage of wind energy available during off-peak hours,” said Chris P. Nielsen, Executive Director of the Harvard China Project and co-author of the study.

In terms of lowering air pollution, the researchers found that the gas- or diesel-fueled fleet of public vehicles — about 30,000 buses and 66,000 taxis — is responsible for nearly 20 percent of total NOX emissions, equivalent to the contribution from 8.2 million private vehicles. Electrifying the fleet of buses and taxis in Beijing would significantly reduce total NOX emissions and increase air quality.

“Electrifying the public fleet and introducing incentives to charge personal electric vehicles at off-peak times would be the most effective strategy to reduce NOX and CO2 emissions in Beijing,” said McElroy. “This strategy could also be applied to cities across the world that have a significant source of electricity from coal.”Qiangsheng will also be doing our best to update.

The mismatch between any of these components is undesirable and may reduce performance.

The chassis is the main part which ensures drive quality and safety of the vehicle, is made of mild steel, a low quality chassis should never be used, the chassis if often built without proper knowledge, causing an imbalance in the drive, and often causing the vehicle to pivot very easily, the chassis manufactured by professional e rickshaw manufacturers are better as quality measures are often ignored by others, and are often built without welding fixtures of any kind. The chassis inaccurately made, will have handling problems, will be damaged easily, and corrosion may occur if not treated for resisting certain chemicals(from the battery or otherwise) or moisture.

The body should be built to keep in mind quality and design which is aerodynamic, and ensures driver safety. Better quality bodies lasts for years whereas low quality body will last no longer than 10 to 15 months. In this case, F.R.P is extremely desirable since the life of the body is 10s of years. Electrical parts are recommended to be tight, use high quality couplers to ensure proper connection and insulate connection to prevent water and moisture.

Electrical components used of higher quality will lower resistance and heat losses and increase efficiency.

double controllerThe motor power used in most e rickshaws is 650W to 1500W, the latest government norms allow it to be 650W, most of them run on 800W and higher, which adversely effects the battery life. The controller used is ~40A , 48V output, uses 14, 18 or 24, 30 MOSFETs and powers all electric components.
A good quality controller must be used to increase performance of the motor and other overheating issues. Controller should be installed with electrical brake cut off, and which are removed by common rickshaw mechanics in order to achieve a continuous torque or improper functioning of the brakes.

The braking system is mechanical drum brakes. Service and maintenance is required for proper vehicle functioning, the improper brake adjustments may heat up the motor and controllers and damage brake shoes, it may also reduce the mileage of the vehicle.
